Improve Skin Quality With Minimal Downtime

PRX is a line of professional topical skin boosters from WiQo designed to improve skin quality without needles or the downtime of a traditional peel. Some patients notice light, minimal flaking in the days after treatment. Unlike conventional resurfacing peels, PRX treatments work within the skin rather than intentionally exfoliating the surface. We offer two options so we can match your treatment to your skin’s needs:

  • PRX Derm Perfexion combines trichloroacetic acid (TCA), hydrogen peroxide, and kojic acid to support texture, hydration, firmness, and overall skin health.
  • PRX-PLUS combines homocysteic acid, ammonium trichloroacetate, citric acid, and phytic acid to address pigmentation, laxity, enlarged pores, and visible aging.

PRX Treats:

  • Fine lines and visible signs of aging
  • Uneven skin texture
  • Dull or dehydrated skin
  • Uneven pigmentation and dark spots
  • Sun-damaged skin
  • Enlarged pores
  • Reduced skin firmness and elasticity
  • Mild skin laxity
  • Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation
  • Residual acne marks
  • Atrophic or depressed scars
  • Stretch marks

How PRX Treatments Work

Both treatments are massaged into the skin in layers, allowing their ingredients to act within the tissue while minimizing peeling.

PRX Derm Perfexion pairs TCA with hydrogen peroxide, which moderates the effect of the acid so it can reach deeper layers of the skin without causing frosting or visible shedding. Kojic acid supports a brighter, more even-looking tone. The result is skin that looks smoother, more hydrated, and more refreshed.

PRX-PLUS uses a different formulation aimed at more advanced concerns. Its combination of homocysteic acid, ammonium trichloroacetate, citric acid, and phytic acid supports improvements in firmness, texture, and pigmentation without intentionally exfoliating the surface.

FAQs

Not in the conventional sense. PRX treatments contain acids, but they are formulated as topical skin boosters rather than treatments that intentionally remove superficial skin layers. You can improve texture, tone, and firmness without the visible shedding associated with peels.

Both are needle-free, no-peel treatments from WiQo, but they use different formulations and target different priorities. PRX Derm Perfexion focuses on texture, hydration, firmness, and overall skin quality. PRX-PLUS is designed for concerns such as pigmentation, sun damage, laxity, and visible aging. Your provider will recommend the right option or a combination based on your skin.

PRX treatments are formulated to work without visible peeling or exfoliation. Your skin may feel or look different after treatment, but you generally won’t experience the noticeable shedding associated with resurfacing peels. You’ll receive post-treatment skincare instructions to support your skin afterward.

Your skin is cleansed before the PRX solution is applied and massaged into the treatment area in layers. The number of applications can be adjusted according to your treatment plan. Afterward, the solution is removed, and appropriate post-treatment products are applied. A session can typically be completed relatively quickly.

You may notice your skin looking brighter, smoother, or more hydrated shortly after treatment. Other changes develop progressively with additional sessions. Because concerns such as pigmentation, texture, and laxity vary among patients, your provider will explain what improvements are realistic for your skin rather than promise a standardized result.

Your treatment schedule depends on your skin condition, the concerns being addressed, and the degree of correction needed. PRX may be performed as a series rather than a single, isolated treatment. We’ll assess your skin and recommend an appropriate protocol rather than automatically prescribing the same number of sessions for everyone.

PRX requires minimal interruption to your routine. Because it does not intentionally create visible peeling, you generally won’t need the recovery period associated with more aggressive resurfacing treatments. Temporary redness, dryness, or sensitivity may still occur.

PRX may not be appropriate if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have an active infection or open wounds in the treatment area, or are allergic to any of the ingredients. We’ll review your health history and skin during your consultation to make sure treatment is a good fit.
