Botox, Dysport, and Daxxify
Botox, Dysport, and Daxxify are all referred to as neuromodulators, and the active ingredient is Botulinum Toxin A. Tiny amounts are injected into muscles and prevent the neurotransmitter acetylcholine from releasing, resulting in the temporary relaxation of the muscle. This muscle relaxation stops excessive movement and decreases the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Prevention and treatment of fine lines and wrinkles. Common areas of treatment are the forehead, between the brows (the “11” lines), and around the eyes (the “crow’s feet”). We also treat gummy smiles and perform lip flips, slim the lower face and jaw, and treat lines of the chin and neck.
Botox, Dysport, & Daxxify are not used in pregnant or breastfeeding women.

Avoid laying flat for 4 hours after injection with a neuromodulator. Strenuous exercise, wearing a hat, and use of blood thinners should also be avoided immediately post-injection.

Results will start to be visible within 1-7 days after injection, with full effect at 14 days. Schedule a 14 day follow up to troubleshoot any minor asymmetries or concerns. Results should last 3 months. With regular injections every 3 months, the muscles should continue to relax and lines should become less and less visible.
